Zermatt is a world-famous resort in the southern part of the Swiss Alps, equidistant from Geneva and Zurich. You’ll enjoy the purest mountain air, as Zermatt is a car-free place. At the station square, tourists are expected by carriages with coachmen in liveries or a row of electric vehicles. The only cars in Zermatt are extremely functional: ambulances, firefighters, city buses, and taxis. It is not a very big resort, and you can walk from one end of the town to the other in 10-15 minutes. However, you can book a commodious room in one of the hotels in Zermatt near the train station and have a great and comfortable recreation!
